For the past year, healthcare workers have been working hard to keep us all safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, the local start up, JACK Mobile Tire, set out to do something to help make sure healthcare workers are staying safe on the roads. Throughout the month of December, JACK visited Allied Services Scranton and Wilkes-Barre campuses to perform tire safety checks on employees’ vehicles.
“It’s reassuring to have JACK Mobile Tire visit our campuses checking the safety of our employee’s tires. Our employees have been working extremely hard through the pandemic so it’s given them a bit of peace of mind to have their tires checked out for them,” said Charlotte Wright, Director of Special Events & External Affairs at Allied Services.
JACK understands that not everyone has the time to get their tires checked after work, so performing these tire checks onsite, while Allied Services employees were working, gave them one less thing to worry about in such trying times.
During these visits, JACK checked the tire pressure and tread depth on more than 200 vehicles and left each vehicle a tire safety check card informing the vehicle owner the condition of their tires. “It was very reassuring to have JACK Mobile here on our campuses not only for our employees, but for our patients as well,” Wright said. “One of them came out to a flat tire after their appointment and JACK was here to help repair it!”
With multiple JACK vans operating in much of eastern Pennsylvania and serving parts of New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware, we’re working hard to help make sure everyone stays safe on the roads.
